Basically: sf allows me to upload an html page: I would then forward it to the ChaosEsque community site one of you make. Then..

well you rule over it as you wish. Get users, etc. And I just work on the game/mod. You can even claim you're the game/mod dev: and lie on your resume's about it (who the fuck will know?: you have the website to back you up: frwded from the project page).

So the payoff: of making a good community website is with alot of users, for you, is:
1) You get to rule over those users, some of which will like the game (the draw).
2) You get whatever ad revenue (and remeber: since I'm making the game you really don't need to make any content to keep the site "relevant": people come for the game IF they know about it.
3) You can claim you are a developer; point to my project as something you have worked on: it has more weapons than almost any AAA game so it can help you: get programming jobs and thus money.

I benifit in the following ways:
1) I get more potential developers to parcel out tasks I don't want to do, if you are good at promoting the game and community website (with forum etc).
That's it: that's the benefit to me.
