Brendan mentioned in a tweet they're putting their focus on BAT's utility next. Seems like Brave will take the backseat in 2020 and BAT will be the focus. Makes sense since Brave seems to be selling itself these days.

Question for my BAT niggers. You have to choose between these 2 options, one or the other. Which would you rather see:

>1) Some decent sized traditional print news site that uses Paywalls (ex: NYT, WSJ, Financial Times, etc.) onboards BAT as a means to pass by the paywalls. You can either subscribe using BAT, or you may make micro-transactions to purchase an individual article. However, BAT price only goes up to 20¢.

OR

>2) BAT moons to $3.50 for seemingly no reason, but no noticeable/useful progress is made on the project for the next 12 months and the MAU remains the same for the next 12 months.

The USD used to purchase an ad campaign is converted to BAT to fund the ad campaign. Allows advertisers to dodge the crypto aspect but allows Brave to still run the campaign through Brave Rewards.

Honestly, I think it's going to be a combination of things (small part being Brave ad campaigns), but the biggest thing for me will be speculation/hype. Think of a decent size YouTuber getting in early and making 1,000 BAT in a month or something. Now imagine BAT goes up in price to 50¢. That YouTuber will tell friends he/she made $500 in a month off of BAT. Now amplify that hype and throw in some YouTubers/streamers with monstrous audiences, plus BAT's price increasing, plus Brave's user base increasing - all of a sudden you have huge moon potential.

Content creators are lemmings. If a few big time creators start jumping off the Brave/BAT cliff (which hasn't happened yet), lots will follow in suit, and will lead to mainstream adoption of BAT.

if BAT can't break 26 ¢ off the news of Brave 1.0 + Brave iOS Ads TOGETHER, there's really not much hope for the price. It's in the hands of traders and whales unfortunately. Tokenomics for BAT are broken until the big whales sell enough off, which probably isn't happening any time soon

I will continue buying BAT until this JUST'd token hits $1.

I own a decent stack but it seems like a bigger gamble than anything else because it's basically trying to supplant an established multi-billion dollar industry.

Brave/BAT are literally taking on Google/Facebook/the internet as we know it. That's a massive hurdle. If they succeed, even in a small, niche way - BAT could be huge and see big numbers.

I think they're making progress but they have a long ways to go. They will need more funding I think. More funding means more people involved and less control for Brendan and Co. I imagine. I don't know, it's a risky endeavor but I think BAT is an insanely good idea.
