its the difference between shorting BTC at potentially 19k (a lot of risk) vs shorting BTC at 16k (much less risk, as this was a lower high). same amount of profits basically, with a much smaller chance of getting rekt.

Crypto is quite literally killing the dominance of the USD and that is a fact. Do you really believe the rest of the world will simply continue with this absurd post-war arrangement that we've had? Countries like China and Russia (and all those aligned with them) are looking for an out. Crypto is one of those outs.
