My boss tried to pull this shit and within 5 minutes he and HR had my resignation by email and I said I was driving to the city to sign it. My phone and email blew up nonstop with calls for the 4 hour drive to Jew York city. You see, I was the only person who understood our software. Every other employee who worked on the project with me quit becuse they were tired of being like shit. Unfortunately for my company, they didn't stipulate forward training for my replacement/s. Bad move for a company that pulls 9 figs every 2 quarters. I signed my resignation despite begging from nearly the entire office as well as HR. I remained emotionless and shrugged my shoulders. Last I checked they were liquidating three branch offices and had laid off nearly 30% of their staff. Maybe next time they'll think before letting their biggest SaaS go to shit. How lucky for our clients I was able to provide seversl of them with a similar service for half the price. Weird how that happens.
