Yes they'd basically have to agree to just fuck off and let the US majors come in and run their shit for them, and take a pre-negotiated cut off the top. And also: they'll have to agree to some military bases in their country to keep them honest.

Ironically it would be the best possible thing for the Venezuelans to actually realize some profit from the resources under their feet that they are clearly not capable of doing themselves (because they elect commies and butcher the golden goose).

Also the US's best possible move against BRICS. Well... R & I, but not C. C would be mostly fine with that being energy importers and all.

How does copyright work on websites that aggregate content that isn't theirs?
Like reddit, with it's hundreds thousands subreddits must have tonnes of "stolen" content. I don't mean like warez, full episodes of shows etc., those are most definitely removed routinely; but fanart, photographs, clips, and such, certainly some of it is in copyright violation, yet they make money off the ads.
What's the deal?
