Yes.
It's nearly impossible for humans to travel in long distances. You need to achieve relativistic speeds, and then some rock hitting the spaceship will carry the energy of a nuclear explosion. The amount of radiation is also prohibitive. Unless of course genetic or other enhancements are used, and the spaceship is actually the size of a moon or something, which is doable post-singularity.
Being in a 'zoo' isn't that bad if life is fulfilling and enjoyable. I'm pretty sure 99.8% of the population would be content, with the exception of some schizos or those who want to ascend.

Well, you could become a machine yourself, but yea humans would be left behind as much as worms are left behind in intelligence compared to us.

Don't worry about the world too much guys. Just accumulate wealth/get in a cryo-preservation program and prepare to merge with the machines.
Stuff like future economic dynamics, climate change or population and cultural decline are non-issues, because AI progresses much faster and there's not enough time for these to turn into actual problems.
We basically hit escape velocity once people realized that our higher brain functions can be automated. Our fate is sealed, as we're not stopping till we get there.
