There's absolutely nothing wrong with owning krugerands, like you're saying they're still 1 troy OZ of gold and they are completely liquid and trusted by investors the world over. Krugerands are like the grand daddy of AU coins. And yes they're more durable because of the copper.

Whoever doesn't want krugs because they don't like the way it looks that's subjective and a fine opinion. However calling it dirty or polluted gold and suggesting they're not as desired is objectively false. Theres a reason some anon rich people drop a few every year into salvation army cups. I rotated my retirement investments to miners and my cash and savings to physical.

I think this is the best balance given the two scenarios we're foreseeing:
a. SHTF society collapse scenario: I have muh physical and if stocks go to zero, if mines are nationalized, whatever. It's tied up in a retirement account anyway and I have a bunch of physical, junk, and lead to barter and defend my family with.
b. Hyperinflation, PM's and my retirement accounts moon and so do my physical holdings. There will probably be other problems as well or maybe the retirement accounts will get raided to prop up pensions, whatever.

I guess I kind of regret not taking a loan against my retirement accounts allowed by last year's COOF act.
