This is what people don’t get about self employment. I owned a small business and it’s like being married with a never-ending to do list. Everyone is trying to fuck your over: your customers, your vendors, your business partners, your employees. Anytime you think you can rest, you know you shouldn’t because you could be selling more or getting more shit done. Everyone is relying on you to keep this place profitable or to increase profitability. You can’t quit because so much of what you’ve earned as the owner is built into the equity of the business, so quitting is like getting a divorce. It’s a nightmare. I did make a lot of money though and retired in my 30’s.
