My winnings from selling Regeneron after running from ~$380 to $564, yeah I’m gonna pay short-term capital gains tax on those. Then I can dump it in my Roth IRA. But if I had done that trade in my Roth IRA to begin with, I wouldn’t be paying tax on it. I’d just be building that nice stash of cash for a later time.

Hmmm. Well I didn’t even know this hearing was happening, but I suppose they could want to avoid any simple thing like trump wanting to “let it rip” and ride out the virus, and ignoring it from December til finally doing things in feb/March.

Fauci handles questions well, but he’s definitely too honest and straightforward for a politician, especially the trump administration.
