Simple automobile that is reliable + cheap and easy to maintain yourself is worth so much more than fancy bullshit will all manner of gimmicks installed that WILL break and WILL be expensive to fix.

This is why people being so enthusiastic about EV, especially unproven EV built by startup companies, scares me. Tesla is just starting to mature enough that some data about how reliable their vehicles actually are is trickling in.

I'm not really talking about investments here. This is more my perspective as a guy what need car for transportation to places who also lives in climate intent on murdering unreliable vehicles without quarter or remorse.
