NTA, just here to vent

>wife and I both work
>making really good money
>It's a grind but we both agreed we'll tough it out for a couple of years until we can get our 'forever home' and a nice nest egg.
>not even 6 months into it
>wife is complaining non-stop
>hates her job, hates her boss, blah blah
>her job isn't easy but it's WFH and she'll roll out of bed at like 10AM to start working and usually ends by like 3PM.
>Tell her if she hates it so much get your resume ready and apply for new jobs
>another 6 months has passed, hasn't done any of that
>still complaining about her boss (her boss is a cunt but still)
>keeps joking about going back to any 'easy' job that's like a 20%-40% pay cut
>or worse that she "doesn't want to work lol"
>all of her friends with pussy husbands who let their wives walk all over them and overspend
>one of whom is literally about to lose their house because of recent layoffs
>still wants a huge house and nice things
>refuse to budge, I'll hold my ground until the bitter end

Everyone else I know will be working well into their 60's as they have begrudgingly accepted their fate. Meanwhile, my wife is trying her damnedest to snatch defeat from jaws of victory because of some fleeting sense of envy or because she can't handle one annoying manager.

I'm going to hijack OP's thread but I need some help

>wife gets news job
>everything going well for 3-6 months
>suddenly, layoffs occur and half her team is cut leaving only 2 developers and 1 QA analyst
>the manager says, "fuck it" and quits
>gets new Russian 'girl boss' manager who is completely inept
>micromanages to the extreme and is now outright bullying her employees
>overschedules the entire team with meetings and ad hoc discussions and can't comprehend why development isn't moving at a blazing pace
>cannot 'manage up' and is simply taking orders to try and please her boss
>no plans or timelines -- everything is an emergency and needs to get done ASAP.
>wife is miserable but her team is slowly turning against new manager

Is there anything that can be done here besides quitting? Her entire team hates this boss so I'm wondering if there is some HR strategy to play here. Could they collectively just submit complaints to HR to get her fired?

So tired of women managers. Never again.
