Ethereum hybrid POS (coming Feb) will get us to tps in the thousands
far more than any platform needs short term
(on avg EOS is handling 460 tps/day,
and with FREE transactions, easily 70% of that would be fake volume)

then full POS, Sharding, Plasma/Loom and Raiden
(most coming 2019/20)
will make Ethereum infinitely scaleable

the only thing EOS has is better UX and that wont be hard to duplicate
