No, things aren't even close to as bad now as they were in the 70s by any metric. If the US didn't collapse in the 70s it's sure as shit not going to collapse now. I've also been hearing about how the US is "totally about to collapse" for my entire fucking life, it's even more hysterical than the "two more weeks until China's collapse" people.

I'm down 17% from my high about a month ago but still up over double where I was just two months ago. It sucks but it's not the first correction I've been through so I just sold some of what I had that was green and used it to buy into my stocks that were going down, that had no actual reason to be going down outside of general market sentiment. Hell some of my stocks fell below a strike point yesterday, and when I bought calls they went well above it by the end of the day. It sucks but experience really is key during times like this, you have to learn how to not panic.
