I think a lot of people, Bulls and Bears alike, think that whichever way the Market is going is permanent. It's going up? Bulls think it is going to the moon!!! It's going down? Bears think it is the Big One and the entire World is finished. At the end of the day, we had a dip and lost a month's worth of gains in a week and a half. We'll see what happens from here. Bears seems to generally lose out more than Bulls, though - as the market mostly goes up

People here don't seem to realize that investing in foreign markets carries all the same risks as investing domestically, except you pay more taxe son realized gains, and you take on additional risk that the exchange rate of the currencies will change. It's so much more riskier to invest in foreign markets, that unless you are looking at a huge gain, you are better off looking harder for better plays domestically
