One thing to bear in mind before riding the waves is that apparently if you re-buy a stock within 30 days of selling it, you can't claim it as a capital loss.
Depending on your financial situation, you might have a better chance of more total money if you just sell once and use the loss to offset your income gains for tax purposes than trying (and potentially failing) to repeatedly buy dips and then predict the peaks to sell.
