> Roger
> the very earliest day he is legally allowed to move out of the country
> moves to Japan on that day
> pay Japan taxes
> also pay USA taxes
> 9 years of paying Japan+USA taxes but only living in Japan
> 2014, formally renounce USA citizenship
> pay huge exit tax on an illiquid asset named Bitcoin
> 10 years later
> gov now say exit tax too small, calculates number of coins * price on obscure exchange that didn't have liquidity to sell 100BTC, let alone 75k
> says failed to meet reporting standards that were put in place years after he renounced citizenship
> arrested in Spain
> extradict to USA (?!)

newfags spotted

He actually did sell his hot wallet BTC for BCH and he had enough to flip BTC.
His cold wallet, however, holds more than 250k BTC, I don't know how much exactly and I'm not sure where OP got the number, but it could easily be 335000.
Took some serious coordination between Poloniex and Tether to stop him, but when he started unloading almost all exchanges stopped trading for a while, then Tether printed a few billion and pumped BTC.
In fact, you should thank Roger for pumping the entire market in 2017.

>>57934128
>Nope. He spends his BCH as a currency and hordes his BTC
Sort of true but IMO he would have sold his last BTC a long time ago if he didn't prioritise keeping his cold wallets cold. He hasn't even dumped his BSV and bitcoin gold because he doesn't want to access them.

>>57934129
He absolutely had more than 300k in 2017 and the vast majority are in cold wallets.

>>57934204
Fun fact - in a conversation with Peter Mccormack the guy who angered Roger admitted that Roger had been right all along and he was acting like a little faggot. Only took these guys 6 years to figure this out, but props on being men and admitting their mistake.

Newfags can't do "research" because most of the bullshit online is false. You had to be there in 2012-2017 to know what really happened, although admittedly the Barely Sociable documentaries paint a good picture, and Roger's book is coming soon.

But tl;dr - if Roger wants to destroy BTC he can. Thankfully, only corekeks are this spiteful, but lack the power.
This is a man who SOLD his lambo to buy bitcoin for $1. Yet people buying his bitcoins for five figures a piece think they'll buy lambos and mock HIM for being stupid. This is just peak arrogance and stupidity, and Roger is based. Hope he's doing well.

Bitcoin was already destroyed on the premise that blocks cannot sustain all of the economic data that users want to pass through it, imagine the absurdity of allowing nft-s in the meantime, lmfao.
It's just cognitive dissonance for the few OG brainlets who haven't left bitcoin and random gibberish to the newfags who the bitcoin "community" is mostly comprised of nowadays.

I'm a 2013 bitcoiner, full on BCH supporter during the fork, but I still sold, bruh (except for like 20-ish BCH on Purse.io).
When I need to move money quickly through exchanges without enormous fees I'd rather use XRP or XLM than wait for 3 hours with BCH.
This market is no longer just bitcoin, BCH might be the better one but this means nothing in 2020.
Besides, if you really care and want to help BCH succeed, you're better off catching moon missions and THEN rebuying (becoming a whale). Something I intend to do myself (portfolio is worth 2010 BCH atm).

>you retards lost the scaling debate
There never was a debate, just censorship and propaganda from BTC, and trying to preserve bitcoin from the big blocker side.
>and now you're just talking to yourselves in perpetuity
The irony is that the reason you think that is because you live in a BTC echo chamber. BCH is saving lives in Venezuela and other commie-struck regions right now. It's also seeing more use as an anonymity coin than Monero, lmfao
>You try to make a lot of noise so as to not be ignored
It's called marketing, and without it, us Bitcoin Cash-ers wouldn't have made Bitcoin popular. Now we lost 4 years but we're doing the same and will succeed again
>but your fate is sealed
How so? After billions of dollars invested into destroying it, first from AXA, then by Calvin, BCH is alive, kicking and being used. No other coin has managed to sustain that much pressure, if anything, the worst days are over
>>13642798
>inoffensive BTC helper
BTC-speak for "not a threat". Exactly my point.
>arrogant deluded moron. Constant technical issues caused by incompetent devs and oversized clowncar blocks
Fighting to preserve bitcoin and being liked by everyone cannot be accomplished at the same time. BCH-ers love Bitcoin so they are doing what they should despite the repercussions. No technical issues at all, unlike BTC who had an infinite inflation bug. Found and fixed by BCH developers. Maybe you were thinking of BSV's dumpster fire of a self-reorganizing blockchain?
