To find the remaining US fabs you have to look to the analog & power companies. Now, most of those fabs are old shit like 180nm and higher, or very specialized fabs for analog & power that would be irrelevant for a CPU. But for analog/power chips they are fine and it's an existing asset for firms with a long history so they stick around.

I think some defense contractors might have some fabs too. but I think they mostly make wacky mil/aero stuff where the yield barely matters.

It was fine, but doesn't live up to the massive hype it got when released. If you want a chill and relaxed girls with guns show with cute character designs, this is one of those. The plot ended up being pretty lackluster though, A1 seemed painfully cautious presumably to avoid another FranXX debacle. Also, it somehow got a second season so if you do like it, there'll be more soon.
