should I just focus on being the king of my pond and taking over everything on a local level or focus on moving to a big pond and trying (probably failing) to compete?

why does everyone give a fuck about being a homeowner? I regret buying a house honestly its too big for myself and I'm not paying less than I would with rent. Sure I've got equity but can't say I give a fuck. I'd rather just live in an apartment again
