Crypto is pure speculation not store of value and it doesn't have any practical application. Our gold and silver doesn't need anything. Your cryptos need network that can easily be shutdown by governments. Do you think that treehuggers will allow you to waste electricity on your tokens?
Sooner or later somebody drops the hammer and it's game over. Gold was outlawed many times but it always come back stronger. The same cannot be said about cryptos.

The medium of exchange is the tool that facilitates the indirect exchange system, which we created as a solution to the inefficient barter system.

Instead of having to 'sell' the good that you dont want directly for the good you do want to 'buy' (barter), you can now 'sell' the good for another good(the medium of exchange), and then 'buy' the goods and services you want with the medium of exchange.

I tried melting a buffalo today but couldn't get my little torch hot enough (or I'm too much of a pussy to crank it). Will need to upgrade to a higher rated torch or one that can manage oxygen. Here's the thing. I'd buy btc but its too expensive right now and might be prone to manipulation and market collapse. Gold is a larger market to manipulate and is unlikely to be banned compared to crypto.
