Those libertarian cypherpunk types are usually early innovators and significant contributors, but their work is invariably subsumed by establishment systems in the long run.

Take Richard Stallman and FSF for example. He and his brethren made outstanding contributions to software and the internet, to the point where nearly every networked system relies on something they wrote, including several layers of the system I used to write this, and the one you used to read it. They've inspired lots of other open-source projects that have permissive licenses like MIT or GPL. Those projects now help run nearly all for-profit enterprises.

In fact, Ripple's ledger (XRPL) is one of these projects.

Let this be a fucking lesson to everybody. WSB is actually great for DD, but you need to get in at the floor. I've had several multi-baggers from WSB DD already this year - LUMN, MT, PLTR, GME, BB, SLV (in summer). The problem with the sub is it gets fucking cult-like when a ticker they like starts to moon, and remains cult-like for weeks after that ticker crashes. Virality on WSB is a sell signal.
