I still think JNJ is undervalued, i was going to buy more JPM but that shit jumped. Looking to add to my ADP but that's also skyrocketed. May buy CSCO before earnings. MCD is on the radar too and I may start new positions in WMT LIN and MDT in the near future. Also watching SHW.

>>23839025
starting yield is less important to me than dividend growth (CAGR) and ability to continue to pay and grow the dividend.

NEE is a good one, may drop my oil stocks and put it into NEE. little bit safer for the foreseeable future

i wouldn't be surprised if my portfolio returned better than yours in November. I'm up 9% doing literally nothing and I only added $500 this month while gaining $46K in net worth. If you did better, good for you, i'm happy with my results given my risk tolerance.

Here's my buys for this week. put about $3800 into the market from Tuesday to Today, dipped into my emergency fund. Will stick with my usual buy next week unless it tanks further then i'm certainly buying more and will work on replenishing my emergency fund when markets come back up or just use my year end bonus in december instead of investing it.

good thing I have nearly 6 times that. also I disagree, I think solid dividend growth companies should comprise a part of everyone's portfolio, whether or not it be in ETFs or select companies

>>23534436
based. that's $650 every quarter you can invest that you don't have to work for to invest right now. its real comfy. most people don't understand that divvy growth investing is just so much less stress than make-it-or-break-it yolo options or super growth

yes buy an asset that doesn't pay out anything and is around the same price as it was 10 years ago

you do realize I can take my dividends and invest them in anything I want, including gold, right?

imagine not understanding that a stock which pays a dividend and grows that dividend annually is a dividend growth stock, which is what Ive been advocating.

stay gambling fren, I'll continue to earn more in passive income and invest it than you invest in a year

I priced my retirement at $30/hr full time, so for every $30 annually I receive in dividends and capital gains distributions, that is one hour of future work i'll never have to do...every year for the rest of my life. There are 2,080 work hours in the year. Last year I received ~$21K in passive income. That is 700/2080 hours I can write off. Every year my dividends increase on their own without any added capital about 7%-12% per year. Without adding another dime other than reinvested dividends, I'll reach that goal of $62,400 in passive income in approximately 11 years. The last two years I've also begun increasing my dividends annually about $1200/ year with new capital.

first you're receiving monthly happy meals then the next thing you know you're mortgage is paid for the year, every year in perpetuity. that is a very nice feeling

i'm not saying this is the only way or the best way, but this is the investment strategy for my future goals

1. dividend CAGR is about 8%-9%

2. if it has a dividend and grows its dividend its a dividend growth stock. that has been my philosophy this entire time. choosing sustainability and div growth over yield.

3. Tesla isn't doesn't have a div. If AMZN or Google got one, i'd probably add them both to my divvy portfolio instead of just my mutual funds because those would be dividend stocks.

now if you don't mind, I'll just be over hear collecting twenty thousand+ dollars this year for doing nothing

i don't know what's worse, the fact that my company underpaid me $700 over the last month or that I didn't realize my company underpaid me $700 over the last month.

they're paying it all to me this paycheck I get tomorrow.

gonna put it all into the market along with my usual amount. I'm going to buy some V and JNJ. what else should I buy?
