If we are looking at some serious hyper inflation as has been predicted the past year or so. Which direction do you think the west will go? Cut off printing and ramp up interest rates? Or print like crazy as they did the previous 2 years and completely devalue the dollar Zimbabwe style? If they go the Zimbabwe path, would now be the best window to debt max before the $$ loses value and pay off the debt when a $100 is the equivalent of $5-10. As purchasing power right now hasn't really been hit yet, but it will when money is Weimar level useless. So a $50k debt now would be easy to deal with in a devalued dollar economy.
I'm sure there is a lot of holes in what I'm saying.

Do you not know what "liquidity problem" means? That means that there was a gold shortage. Ie, no sellers and only buyers. It makes more sense to just hold onto your gold and sell owernship based off of paper derivatives because physical gold is so hard to transfer.
Bitcoin solves this issue, by being digital and by allowing people to store an infinite amount on their own computers. More liquidity, while still being a deflationary asset, the better it is for the backing of a currency (or currency itself).

It will get you dates too but not a future. 2k is family status with wife and A kid. but with hyper inflation coming expect 4k a week minimum to start a family next year, then probably 8k the year after.
