I thought it was as simple as the gold standard being too hard to manage and our paper money system being easier to control. If everything is so bad and corrupt then why hasn't anyone done something about it? As long as you're not in debt what is there to be afraid of? Is it all just uneducated idiots circlejerking and gold/silver shills trying to promote their sales?

I need help with my fertilizer business venture. My grandfather owns multiple fertilizer factories that usually produce fertilizer by the ton for golf courses and hotel greens. However, he's expanding into a smaller manufacturing line that will sell personal fertilizer products. I approached him with the idea of setting up a fertilizer company marketed towards marijuana growers. That was about 6 months ago, and since then I've found an investor to front the venture (a friend of mine). Our website is in the works, and I've been in contact with a couple of lawyers to flesh out whether this will be legal to sell in all states, even if they aren't medical or legal yet, and according to them I shouldn't have a problem. I'm trying to time our launch for when I graduate college in December of this year.

The problem is though, that I'm completely lost starting this company and need some guidance. I'm trying to look for a lawyer that can do all the start-up stuff like write our operating agreement and incorporate the LLC (in Washington, D.C., although that isn't set in stone) and then register in Virginia where I'll be starting the business. I've been quoted 2,500 for the whole service by one lawyer. Is that a reasonable price? I should also mention that I'm trying to use a lawyer that specializes in cannabis law, usually a lawyer that helps dispensaries get set up, since they're the only people who seem "in-the-know" about this whole industry.

Also what else should I be doing, planning, learning, etc. before I launch the business. I'm an advertising major, entrepreneurship minor at a big state school, but frankly my expertise lies in selling the product not running a business smoothly.

Any advice, links, or reading material will be appreciated.
