Because it stops the egregious money printing/laundering that has been occurring. Even if it crashes everything to zero and we don't recover for years. The new world can't have a cancerous base.
The logical thing to do is to withdraw from the market; take that with a grain of salt because logic doesn't apply in this clown market.

Dear Justice Cohen:

I write on behalf of the parties in the above case provide a status report regarding the Respondents' document production and next steps.

The Respondents have largely completed the document production and have produced a substantial volume material to the Office of the Attorney General ("OAG") in the past few weeks, although there remains supplemental agreed-upon items that need to be completed. The parties will need a few more weeks (i) to produce the supplemental information, (ii) for OAG to review the production, and (iii) to discuss further among themselves what if any further proceedings may be necessary.

We will plan to next contact the Court in approximately 30 days to either provide a final status update or to schedule a conference with the Court to discuss any open items. The parties have agreed to maintain the status quo until the next conference with the Court.
