I looked it over, and it's one of those projects that is doing a better job of being itself than whatever you're trying to do your way. Can you find any working examples (I'm not gonna dig rn) of someone instrumenting the userfrosting API to add a user or change their permissions or whatever based on an external signup event of any kind?
