The best approach I know is to send the scrap to a refinery and have them make you .999 bars, which you can then sell at a premium over spot. Got a 13+ kilo load of scrap being processed at the refinery right now. Takes more time than just buying bullion but if you're wired for it scrapping can be quite a gainful hobby.
