unironically paper trade. this is one of the hardest businesses on the planet and most of that difficulty is discipline and psychology. get over your mental blocks with fake money, not real. once you can be profitable consistently in paper doing the same thing over and over, only then should you try it out with small bets (like $10 or something) for awhile and if you're successful with THAT for awhile, you can scale up.

note how the key is that you have to be successful for a period of time in phases before you can move up to a bigger, riskier phase. if you can't be profitable in paper trading then don't even bother trading real money, use it as a learning experience.
