If I were to be lucky enough to find 20 bitcoins on a wallet on my computer, it'd be considered perfectly reasonable to keep them as bitcoins.

If I was given an inheritance of 250k, and I bought bitcoin right now at ATH I'd be considered an irrational retard.

Explain the difference to me anons? In both situations I have stumbled upon the money, as in I risk losing nothing that I have worked hard for, in both situations I have the option of having 250k or 20 btc at the end of the day. Why is it more rational to keep the 20 btc if that's what I started with?
