All other crypto has actually become more centralized over the years - with anonymous miners and developers that have no oversight.

Hedera Hashgraph's governance council is actually creating the most decentralized development environment in the entire crypto space.

When the network can scale infinitely and handle billions to trillions of transactions a day in 5-10 years. Sharding will enable that scalability.

Which doesn't make sense, because it is far more decentralized than Eth/BTC or anything with a centralized dev team or miners holding the coin hostage...

HBAR's code is open review, can all be seen in githib.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are far more centralized. HBAR unironically has the most decentralized governance structure compared to anonymous miners and anonymous developers.

It's decentralized as in that the Governing council must feature:
- 1+ Member from each of the GICS sectors (Global Industry Classification Standards)
>These are: Energy, Materials, Industrials, Consumer Discretionary, Consumer Staples, Health Care, Financials, Information Technology, Communication Services, Utilities & Real Estate
- 1+ Member from a top 10 ranked university
- 1+ Member who is leading an international NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation)
- 3+ Member from each global region: NA, SA, EMEA, APAC

The council is also term limited to max of 3 years and 2 consecutive terms, they then must wait 3 years to be re-elected, most decisions require 2/3 vote to pass, such as re-election

>50B Hbars is too many in circulation and therefore they can’t be worth much
Hbars are used for 2 things.
1) “Fuel” for the network to pay for Network Services (Application & Transaction Fees) and to incentivize nodes to contribute computing resources
2) Network Security - Once permissionless nodes are available, Hbars will be used as a proof-of-stake consensus model to protect the network.

A node's ability to influence consensus is proportional to the amount of Hbars it has.To achieve consensus the hashgraph algorithm requires two-thirds of the network's voting power. More Hbars you have, the more your node can affect consensus, so if you want to control the network you need 1/3rd of the total supply of Hbars. To prevent that, Hbars will need to be priced highly so that one large company can’t just buy up a 1/3 supply.

In July 2020, Adsdax, a decentralized advertising platform and marketplace to create, buy, verify, and sell advertising achieved over 1300TPS in a live commercial environment
>“in order to achieve this milestone involved real-time micropayments in cryptocurrency for each impression occurring on the ad network”

He provides a good overview.

Hedera's Hashgraph is faster than Blockchain, it's more secure, it's cheaper, it starting to have real world use cases, it's pairing with massive companies, it's becoming decentralized over time. I don't know what there's not to like about it.
