I'm graduating in the spring and I am also doing my final internship then.
I have the option of either doing an industry co-op or a public internship - either one *could* lead to a job.
I intend on doing my CPA after I graduate and I also would like to work in Industry not in public but I'm wondering what experience would be best for getting a good industry job? I hear they look favorably upon public experience but if I have my CPA and if I get picked up after the co-op and stay there for a couple years would it really matter?

Sup /biz/ I'm graduating from uni with a degree in accounting in the spring and I need another internship at the start of '24.
I interned at a small PA firm last year but I have no real desire to work in public after I graduate.
Though I still plan to earn my CPA, I want to actually get hired after my internship so my question is if I have the same chance of getting hired as a PA intern vs an industry intern?

Graduating university in a year with a bachelors in Accounting, I do not wish to get my CPA (but will gladly tell an interviewer I'd like to in the future).
How many years of experience do I need to be able to WFH in industry or government accounting?

Is getting your CPA necessary? Currently I'm a junior in Uni studying Accounting but I want to work in private accounting, not public, I'm wondering if I really should get a CPA, it sounds like hell with the amount you have to study until you pass it.
