We've obviously made some bad mistakes that need amending. Whether you want to believe it or not, some of the very most fundamental rights that ensure our freedom, namely the First and Second Amendments have been heavily eroded and if nothing is done to correct course they'll end up being gone completely. Extra-governmental powers are using their wealth and influence to stifle free speech and shape the narrative as they see fit, most definitely in collusion with corrupt government officials. We still have our First Amendment on paper but in reality having certain views will get you unpersoned, they will seek to have you blacklisted and banned from the major platforms that we use to communicate with and reach people from all around the country and the world. It's not even stopping with just banning people for "violating muh terms of service, my business my rules so get out", they want to deplatform alternative platforms as well. And they will if they aren't stopped.
