Alright /biz/, I come to you for guidance.

After years of lurking and watching opportunities pass me by, I am ready to finally dip into crypto. I don't have much to invest (only a couple thousand dollars) as I only want to throw what I'm comfortable losing in the worst case scenario. I just need some advice on what to spend on and it what ratio.

After talking to some friends already invested in, lurking here, and doing some basic research, I want to go into BTC, ETH, and LINK to start with. (ETH especially since it seems necessary for "gas fees" and for exchanging for alt coins as well). What ratio of these three should I go with?

And then what alt coins should I look at as a side? I've got eyes on GRT, XLM, REEF among others, but I am open to suggestions.
