There's something magical about Apple, you aren't necessarily even buying the products they put out because they are factually superior to others available, you are essentially buying the fluff that surrounds the product itself.
I think that if someone can figure out the secret sauce to Apple's inherent success over all other brands even while having less features, something that in every single other case defines the entire worth of the product, would be able to replicate some of the success that it has, at least in theory.
You can take a bad product, slap an Apple logo on it, and then all of a sudden its value rises exponentianally solely through something that could be considered brand loyalty.
How do you form this type of following? What type of marketing is necessary to achieve it?
It seems impossible to recreate, there are people who are honest and have products, cram it with features, and try to sell something where the product speaks for itself. Apple, on the other hand, is the complete opposite of that. You take a product that is average, build some kind of magical aura around it, and sell it for three times what it's actually worth, and it works perfectly.
