I'm not sure of their golden boy status, people believe the mask requirement will deter shoppers because 'muh freedumbs are prime, your freedums are not my responsibility" shit. And they think the stockpiling seen at the beginning of COVID was short lived and mostly just brought a lot of shopping forward.

Something like that. I'm no expert, but it has to do with hedging by big boys. If it big in the positive, it should mean there's no dramatic movements.

But "in theory" the vix should rise when the market it volatile to upside moves as well. In practice, higher gex generally seems to indicate less downwards pressure and more potential for moving upwards.

Or something. That's just what my observations have been.
