>Where to find deals on Greek/Roman coins of worth?

Ebay is my preferred minefield, and that's where I currently source most of my cheap scrap Silver too, but if you don't know what you're doing you'll wind up with an enormous pile of expensive worthless fakes and a 10 year case of seething butthurt. DD/DYOR is paramount.

>None of the autism of modern stacking.

Trvst me anon, the capacity for autism goes up like 1,000% in the realm of Ancients. When you set your sights on learning and collecting all you can from some obscure forgotten little ancient polity or learning how to read ancient Greek it can keep the 'tism busy for a lifetime. Much more "space" to play in compared to stacking Asahis or collecting full mint and date runs of more recent coins.

>Im mainly interested in greek coins, something special about them.

Me too, Greek coins are awesome. Phonefagging now but check out wildwinds.com and asiaminorcoins.com for encyclopedic databases, and forumancientcoins.com for educational articles. Search for "eBay ancient coin fake sellers list" for a good but not exhaustive list of swindlers, maybe buy from sellers like savoca or numismatik Lanz in Germany who are pretty reliable and trustworthy.

>The return for how much time you have to invest in moving those dimes and educating yourself so you don’t get scammed, makes no sense.

Perhaps for you and other plebs, but top percentile autists with functionally photographic memories and natural interest can learn exceptionally fast. Some people have what it takes, you apparently don't. That's okay though, presumably you are paying people like us for stuff so you don't have to try learning and navigating through the hazardous realm and likewise I'm sure you're good at things I'd rather just pay for than learn how to do, simply the way the world works fren.

Just because I can't code doesn't mean one can't make a mint doing it. Likewise, some of us are just naturally good at detecting fakes and instinctively understanding the complex numismatic environment and how to profit from it.

No I'm not a millionaire yet, but you seriously underestimate how lucrative it is if you know your stuff and already have outlets to sell to end-buyers for top dollar. It gives you options and power that cuckstackers who can only get ripped off by the LCS or get murdered over a Craigslist meetup could only dream of.

I completely understand man, 99.9% of the time it's indeed too good to be true and just a reconstruction or fake, but anoxic tannin rich bog conditions will preserve things extremely well, and that's the case here. BTW the other side is more eroded/corroded, what I've posted is the more photogenic side.

And the "should be in a museum" sentiment is completely shared... My collection IS a museum lol. If you know your shit one can obtain, refine and stack silver well below spot all day just as one can hoard rare esoteric valuable antiquities bought from idiots on the cheap. You just have to be smarter than the competition; it's not hard fren just requires some quality autism uncorrupted by stupid incel weeb shit.

You're asking how to clean finger oils off? I'd just dip and swish around in hardware store acetone, I use it to clean grease/oil/wax off old coins.

Nice m8, here's an early bookend of that long monetary history.

Jesus man did you dig up a buried hoard in Brazil? I have just 1 of those 960 Reis (overstruck on a Spanish 8R), classy big old coins, nice stack.

You sure that's from a wreck? Looks great if so, most are rather corroded by saltwater. I love coins (ancient Greek silver mostly right now) so will always approve, nice piece of well traveled history m8.
