It's not dumb, fren. Some people like to go all in with millions of dollars into top 50 alts for scalp or swing trades to take advantage of volatility. Sure, if you're a poorfag only investing a few hundred or a few thousand, then yeah, maybe the super low cap is better. But it is also much more risky. People who are throwing in huge amounts would rather let it ride on a surer bet. It all comes down to risk tolerance. You will realize it one day if you manage to grow your portfolio to 7 figure hell. The microcaps won't seem as appetizing.
