If you bought the top of FR you're down 30%, if you bought the top of GDXJ you're down 13%. That's normal. In the '09 to '11 bull market, not merely the GDXJ but the GDX regularly plunged 20% on its way to the top, and FR plunged 30%. (See picture.)
