banks and corporations are likely already using private forks of the XRPL behind closed doors, but i believe that with the onset of regulatory clarity in the United States with the end of the SEC lawsuit we might see those banks and corporations beginning to use XRP to settle cross-border payments and Forex trades out in the open. that will likely lead to a price increase, but not a "pump" because "pump" implies that the price will go down again, which it won't.

pic related- $1.5 billion in payments have been settled using XRP recently. That's an increase. This means that entities like banks and companies are starting to use XRP out in the open. that means we're close.

i think 3/12 too

happy to see that my post inspired some discussion. i think it's cool that /xsg/ has so many individuals of deep faith in it, probably wouldn't see that most other places on /biz/ or 4chan in general, it speaks to the type of person attracted to this asset in general. the reasons for that are interesting to speculate about

in terms of XRP stuff, pic related is interesting. $1.5 billion in settlements using XRP ODL- seems like a lot! does this mean it's starting to get used at the institutional level? people seem so demoralized about the lack of price action, but desu i think XRP starting to get used for its intended purpose is even more bullish than a 50% or 100% price increase

it seems like even without the SEC lawsuit being resolved, XRP is starting to get used more and more for payments. i saw (pic related) posted on twitter, showing that $1.5 billion in payments were settled using XRP ODL in February so far, which seems like a lot. I know Mexico's Bittso exchange is already using it a lot, and India/UAE, Thailand/Japan and Saudi payments rails are already starting up. So the SEC suit getting resolved will definitely blow the price up, but XRP actually getting used to settle payments using Ripple tech (Ripplenet, xCurrent, xRapid, etc) is the foundation, and the fact that that stuff is already happening without much fanfare is a really good sign.

It's kinda weird for me to say this but I actually don't mind the price falling- it means that huge amounts (Jed's dump + others) of XRP are getting sold, and it's not retail that's doing the selling and buying, it's institutions and companies who are actually going to use XRP, not just speculate on it. Call me a paypig all you want but I love to see Jed selling as much as he can, because with every further disbursement, the network gets more decentralized and therefore stronger, and more XRP gets into the hands of the entities who will actually use it. The pipes are being laid, which will allow the liquidity to flow.

...because I don't think sex ed is a bad thing? pretty sure that's a fairly non-controversial opinion. what political persuasion do you belong to that causes you to disagree?

XRP related discussion: $1.5 billion in Real-Time Gross Settlements using XRP On-Demand Liquidity. Seems like kind of a lot. Discuss.
