Gold is weak because it's been propped up by shitty trading for a really long time. When the fed lowered interest rates gold did pretty well, but that margin of utility eventually breaks. There are also the gold peddlers who have been using the low interest rates to sell it off. There's no point to keeping gold if interest rates are set to rise. The retards who keep saying "buy" are morons. Of course you have gold bugs who will buy regardless, and doomsayers who claim any day now the fed is going to implode. Nevermind the fact that they've been saying this for 50 years. TL;DR gold has been inflated for some time and now it's finally starting to reflect that in price.

Pay down debt, establish good credit, go to school and learn a skilled trade, don't be a retard and spend it all. Invest some of that money toward retirement, set up a 401k, (NO NOT AN IRA) and leave at least 20 grand to sit in it while you go to school and work a part time job.
