I asked this last week, but figured I'd ask the weekend posters to get their opinion. What would be the reasoning behind people buying the 4/16 GME 800c? About an hour or so before I took a screencap of pic related, I saw someone buy 300k worth of the 800c; this was on Friday btw. The answer another anon gave me was the reason why is to artificially pump the price, but why would it do that? Its so far OTM that the people that sold those calls would not need to hedge themselves with shares if the calls they sold were naked. I could understand the person selling the calls since they'd be taking advantage of the high IV on a deep OTM option, but these calls were got at the bid implying someone out there bought them. Thoughts?

Saw someone earlier buy 300k worth of 4/16 GME 800c @ 16.25 and just now saw someone else buy 100k worth.
Who the fuck is buying this shit?
