Every coin shop has a scrap/cull bin, and some will let you buy stuff by weight at melt value. My dad buys all the Morgan and Peace dollars that are in decent shape and saves the latter for me, he also has something like 200 Canadian silver dollars pulled from the scrap bin since last summer. I bring it up periodically when I see anons flabbergasted at the thought of being able to stack cheap while saving constitutional from the refineries. No need to ever pay premiums when you have a based LCS that will weigh and sell batches like pic for melt price. Unfortunately my LCS is closed and wasn't based while it was open but thankfully dad collects cheapies from his for me. Ask around and you may get lucky and find a good shop too.

Do you have any coin shops in your area? Anons may be getting tired of my talking about scrap/cull bins but you can buy decent coins at melt price if your LCS is ran by based gentiles. They won't have the scrap on display so you'd need to suspend spaghetti and ask them about it. I don't have any LCS anymore but this year dad has gotten dozens of worn or dirty but otherwise nice silver dollars (saves the peace dollars for me), over $120 face in Canadian and lots of other foreign silver for exactly melt price as calculated by actual scale weight at his shop. Pic is an example of a single scrap price purchase and similar hauls can be repeated a few times a week. Things like worn common barbers and standing liberty quarters which the shop sells for melt enjoy robust demand and can be flipped immediately for profit on eBay, it makes no sense to stack anything with premiums while those cheapies are still flowing. No one will conveniently knock on your door or email you offering 0% premium constitutional but if you put in the tiniest bit of effort you may find a shop that would be happy to sell you stuff at spot that otherwise would be sold to a refinery for less than spot. YMMV but I've seen at least 2 other anons who buy from scrap bins too so it's not a unique situation.

>Morgan/Peace Culls/Slicks?

Precisely melt value calculated from actual scale weight at the best LCS in my hometown. They put higher grade dirty and ham-handedly cleaned ones in the scrap bin along with the slicks so those are what you should go for, can easily double one's money if so desired unlike ASEs which are an instant 25% loss.
