The dao fork on ETH happened miner consensus, it only happened because the majority of miners decided to run the forking version of the protocol. Nobody forced them to do it, in fact you can see many are still free to remain on the original chain e.g. ETC. If you can't see how that is fundamentally different from Cardano essentially having a built in back door to allow IOHK to force updates without community consensus than you are retarded.
