GobAnon back with another shiny rock. Weird times at the LCS. Got jewed for paying in foreign currency (10% penalty for a sovereign sold an absurd 20% over spot). More worrying was the fact that I bought their only sovereign. It's such a stupidly common coin that they should never have just one.

But whatever, the foreign currency was just sitting there for years losing value and it'd cost at least 20% to exchange it to USD. Spent about $80 more than I wanted to, but paying effectively $180 for 0.2354 ozt is acceptable. While I was there, a chinaman wandered in and starting asking in broken English if they "sold gold" and how they sold it ("by the ounce?").
