P&I is a very broad category of death. The vast majority are not seasonal flu deaths.

Actual flu mortality rate is 0.05% +/- 0.04%, in contrast to corona-chan's 1-4% mortality rate (20-80 times as lethal)

>The rest of the world's numbers peg it as being like 50x more deadly than the flu.

Not really. Like I said, we're dealing with two factors that skew the numbers a bit to make them seem more scary:

1. The virus isn't being tested in individuals who present mild symptoms in most countries. Resources are limited and you're not a priority if you're just coughing and have a slight fever.

2. We have literally years of flu statistics against just months of Covid19 statistics. The sample sizes are vastly different, but we do know for a fact that it's a lot easier to tell when someone dies (so they join the statistics) than when someone just eats some chicken soup at home for a week and comes out okay without ever getting tested (thus not joining the statistics)

3. There's no vaccine created for Covid19. The point of vaccinations is to keep the mortality rate capped at a low number. Without widespread vaccination of the flu virus, it'd be just as deadly to boomers. But every boomer's doctor will force them pretty much at gunpoint to take the vaccine, so they're pretty much covered.

I understand why you're scared, my friend. But when you look at everything from a wider scope you see that the logical conclusion to make is that based on the current data - we're not dealing with some worldending black plague shit. Just a flu, without a vaccine, that's too new to have a full picture of at the moment.
