I don't own a single linky and had a couple of questions.

Why has the price jumped so significantly in the recent past? I thought mainnet was going live in 2019.
When are people expecting big announcements etc?

OK /biz/, need some ideas for the best way to approach this. I notice a lot of people want to short Link (and other shitcoins), so I'm trying to think of a way to set up a smart contract to allow shorting (and leveraged trades), probably a 0x based DEX (for all the nice shit it saves me building from scratch) but with my own contacts to allow for the shorts & leverage. I've got it roughly mapped out as to how it'd all work, but wouldn't mind some ideas. So any suggestions? Leverage caps etc? Also considering derivatives, probably CFDs, maybe binary options, so you could bet on on other markets (like stocks or commodities) with your shitcoins, so ideas for that would be good as well.
