Hundreds of pounds of silver doesn't actually take up that much space, I prefer Silver but you being in real estate would probably find gold bullion quite useful for buying/trading for cheap bottomed out property, though 500oz monster boxes of trustworthy government issued Silver 1oz coins would probably be very liquid for such purposes too. A rich bastard I know is hoarding silver like no tomorrow and is much more willing to let his gold go in his off-books business transactions which I think is pretty interesting. Silver is indeed considered speculative but has glorious potential at this point in the world's technological trajectory so I am about 95% Silver with several ounces of gold just in case I'm retarded.
