I just read the STA whitepaper and GitHub, and read the security audit.
1 file. A standard ERC20 template with a burn function. The audit was half baked and cited no evidence in their claims that it was safe. Well done white paper it’s a good idea but I’m starting to see some cracks. Read it yourself.

I looked up every resources of them, but I cannot find the mechanism through which they interact with this phantomatic so called fund. No code whatsoever if not a copy-pasted ETH token contract. Scam until you prove me otherwise. Oh, and the site is so bad. I don't even know who is behind this and where they are located.

So this project is confusing me a bit. Can somebody help me understand? It's not a traditional "project" where they have a product that is fulfilling a goal. From what I am getting is this is just a crypto version of an index fund, with a built in token burning element?

I understand it's pumping because it's new. And a lot of people here are very excited about it. But what exactly does it do? What is the point of holding statera other than pumping and dumping? I don't really like projects that don't have a long term vision.

I believe this will grow and i'm really happy for the people who got in on this already. But can someone explain why this project is so sought over at this time?

What is an index fund?

An index fund is a fund that can track a specified basket of underlying investments and in this case: BTC, ETH, LINK all balanced with STA.

The rules are that these coins are set in the fund at a specified percent so as one goes up or down the others are automatically bought or sold to balance risk and maximize profit. HOWEVER, the key is that STA is deflationary (whenever an STA transaction happens for buying/selling/pooling, 1% of the transaction of STA is burned). This token burn + tokens being locked in pooling pressures prices up to again make sure the other coins will be balanced. You also are given a % of all the fees paid in STA transactions up to 36% APY and during a run up to 40,000% APY.

The power of STA is that the ripple effect of: (1) compounded fees, (2) token burn, (3) price pulled up by ETH, BTC, and LINK leads to an exponential effect and positive feedback loop on price.

So why is it low at only a 5-8million mcap right now?
STA was used by balancer labs and someone hacked the % exploit from balancer. This was balancer's fault but they used STA. Balancer and STA are refunding this.

Can the team dump? No, this is the most decentralized token as the project much like BTC is out of Satoshi's hands, STA is out of the hands of the devs who only own <4%.
