Okay, let me tell you this now.
Gold is Gold. Buy whatever you like and more importantly buy what has the lowest premium.
As a proud austrian myself, I would suggest looking into 10/20/100 Kronen Österreich "Corona Austria", those are historic coins with current day restrikes which can be picked up for very close to gold spot and they look good.
Generally if you like to fingerfuck your gold coins (we all do), coins that are alloyed with copper or copper and silver will be much more resistant to scratching than 24k 999.9 pure gold coins.
The Wiener Philharmoniker is a pure gold coin, it has its own appeal as that is how pure gold will look like, most other coins will have a more redgold tone.
The modern day bullion coins like American Eagle, Britannia, Wiener Phil, Maple and so on are only cheap in their 1oz variant, 1/2 oz and 1/4 are rather expensive compared to historic gold coins like Sovereign, 2 Rand South Africa, all the 5,81g fine gold coins etc.
