Well in the "blue chip" category I would recommend MRO. Big enough to have low production costs & geographical diversification (so no one state can fuck them over), small enough to be be sued by angry teenagers. Also they were doing buybacks while everyone else was doing divvies, good stealth move.

If you want something spicier CIVI is worth a look although their current CEO is all about ESG for some reason (maybe sucking up to the state gov...). They are a small Colorado producer with low debt that has been aggressively buying out bankrupt rivals and consolidating their field. Beware that they do have a higher production costs but they are natgas & propane heavy so oil price alone won't sink them.

ESTE was interesting but I don't get the vibe they'd survive a second big one. Their share situation is weird too, single entity has high %.

I don't hold PXD but they're also probably a good bet if prices drop enough. A lot more geographically consolidated but very efficient operations as a result.

Oil bros. All investors face a choice. To be afraid of the inflation. Or To Be The Inflation. I am glad, euphoric even, that all of us made the right choice.

I used to buy LOGI mice but I had to stop because they were breaking so fucking fast, I am talking less than a year. Their lower earnings is well deserved.

Also. In general. Imagine investing in computer hardware manufacturers (read: Ch*nese garbageware resellers) in the middle of a global semiconductor shortage on top of a global oil shortage on top of a global container shortage on top of Xi locking down his entire country while trying to recreate 2008 with Chinese characteristics. When you could just be investing in the things in shortage, such as oil.

>>50561557
Case in point. Oil bros. Im thinkin we're back. Again.
