i just day trade AMD and /ES and generally harass other overnight hodlers. boring perhaps but it makes me money, though to be fair im trying to expand into making customized scanners based on different strategies and just automating stuff in general (backtesting, finding stocks, one day potentially autotrading, who knows, computers are awesome).

>put a stop order to enter a trade 2-3 cents beyond the pivot in the direction of the trend
>a new high/low HAS to be created to stop me into the trade
>this causes the algos to push price more in that direction, and likely knocks out a basket of stop loss orders on people trying to call reversals too
>sell half my position at 1x the ATR, easy target, can do a little less than that even
>put in a 1x or maybe 1.5x the ATR trailing stop and let that bitch ride until it gets popped

holy fuck why is this so effective? the great thing about it is that once you sell half, you literally can't lose. it's so comfy sipping my coffee watching the trailing stop to see how far it goes, knowing i can only win.
